Two male suspects, both foreign nationals, are due to appear before the Makhanda Magistrate’s Court on charges of drug dealing and drug possession.
On Monday, 20 April 2026 at approximately 12:55, a coordinated operation involving the Makhanda Crime Intelligence Unit, Makhanda K9 Unit, Makhanda Highway Patrol Unit, and Makhanda Crime Prevention Unit executed a search warrant at a house in Joza, Makhanda.
At the premises, police confiscated a range of illegal narcotics with a combined estimated street value of approximately R25,000.
Two male suspects, aged 35 and 44, of Ethiopian nationality, were arrested. They are expected to appear in the Makhanda Magistrate’s Court.
