An alert was recieved over numerous WhatsApp groups for a robbery from persons which had occured in the Grey Street area.
A suspect had robbed an elderly man, before fleeing on foot towards Greyville Race Course.
Numerous PSI teams responded to the scene and Ensure Security’s National Command Centre alerted our teams based at Greyville as well as our Tactical Intervention Unit.
Following a short foot chase, the suspect was apprehended and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
He was later positively identified by the victim and detained accordingly.
