Just before 4am on Thursday morning ALS Paramedics responded to an alleged home invasion on Silverglen Drive in Chatsworth, South of Durban.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find SAPS already in attendance and were guided into a house where they found two patients who had sustained gunshot wounds. One man believed to be in his forties had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his chest and unfortunately there was nothing Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene.
A second man believed to be in his sixties has sustained a gunshot wound to his lower body and was in a critical condition. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize the man on scene before rushing him to a nearby Hospital for the urgent care that he required.
At this stage the events leading up to the shooting is not clear however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further….
