A total of 1 500 illegal connections were removed during an operation today in #Benoni at Apex pump station near Msholozi squatter camp.
Clamping down on the illegal connections was the Energy Revenue Enhancement team in conjunction with the Anti Cable Theft and Ops and Maintenance Energy teams.????
No injuries or arrests were reported.
Illegal connections not only damage the City’s electricity infrastructure but also overload the grid causing blackouts and affect everyone!
