Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo and 10 Anti-Aircraft Regiment in particular have confiscated goods valued at more than half-a-million Rands.
Platoon 1 of Bravo Coy deployed in Musina were conducting foot patrol in the area of responsibility along the Limpopo River when they spotted a group of people carrying big carrier bags loading them on a white panel van Toyota Quantum that was parked tactically in the bushes. When the suspects saw the South African soldiers, they immediately dropped the bags and fled on foot across the border into Zimbabwe.
Upon investigation, our soldiers discovered 10 x Master boxes of Remington Gold Cigarettes, which were valued at R 218 520.00 by Customs.
In line with the law, the Toyota Quantum panel van, valued at R 450 000.00, was also confiscated as it aided criminal activities. The total of all goods is R 668 520.00
The Officer Commanding Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo, Colonel Dikgabane Herold Tladi, commended the members for the job well done.
