A 35-year-old man is in a critical condition after he was shot in the presence of his girlfriend in Amaoti – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the main road a short distance from the Amaoti Police Station at approximately 20:26.
On arrival, Reaction Officers found a man lying on the road. He was shot in the head and face.
The injured male was allegedly visiting his girlfriend. They walking on the road when three men approached and shot him without warning.
The suspects thereafter fled on foot in an unknown direction. The female was not injured.
The critically injured male was expedited to hospital in a critical condition.
