A 40-year-old male suspect has been charged with the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Ikageng, near Potchefstroom. The charges stem from an incident in the early hours of Friday, 24 April 2026.
Search warrants were successfully obtained following the analysis of information received from North West Crime Intelligence Covert Operations. An intelligence-driven operation was subsequently conducted by the Provincial Anti-Gang Unit in collaboration with North West Crime Intelligence Covert Operations.
