Two Arrested in Joint Intelligence-Led Operation Over Business Burglaries in Limpopo

A joint intelligence-driven operation by Groblersdal and Matlerekeng Detectives has resulted in the arrest of two male suspects, aged 27 and 28, in connection with a series of business burglaries and robberies in the Matlerekeng policing precinct, Sekhukhune District, Limpopo.

Acting on operational intelligence, authorities proceeded to Section E, Matlerekeng, where the 28-year-old suspect was apprehended at his residence. A subsequent search led to the recovery of suspected stolen items, including cigarettes, a hammer, a grinder, cellphones, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Further investigations directed the team to Mamelodi Extension 11 in Gauteng Province, where the second suspect, aged 27, was arrested.

Preliminary investigations have positively linked the two suspects to at least two business burglary cases in the Matlerekeng area.

Both suspects face charges of business burglary and possession of suspected stolen property. They are scheduled to appear before the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing and additional arrests have not been ruled out.
