Woman Arrested in Kroonstad for Possession of Suspected Stolen Livestock

A 47-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday after allegedly being found in possession of two sheep carcasses suspected to be stolen.

According to authorities, the Kroonstad Infrastructure Team acted on a tip-off at approximately 15:00 on March 22, 2026, regarding carcasses hidden at a residence in the area.

Upon searching the premises, officers discovered two sheep carcasses that had been cut in half and stored in a refrigerator. When questioned about the origin of the carcasses, the suspect reportedly failed to provide a satisfactory explanation.
