Two Counts of Murder for Accused in Lehurutshe Stabbing

Ofentse Sebogo, 31, has been remanded in custody following his appearance at the Lehurutshe Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 05 November 2025. He faces two counts of murder in connection with a fatal stabbing incident that occurred last weekend.

The court has scheduled his second appearance for Wednesday, 12 November 2025, where a bail application is expected to be heard.

Sebogo was arrested on Tuesday, 04 November 2025, after police linked him to an attack that took place on Saturday, 01 November 2025, in the Welbedacht, Unit 2 area of Lehurutshe. According to the investigation, the accused allegedly stabbed three males with a sharp object.

The attack proved fatal for two men. Thulani Dube, 30, died at the scene. A second victim, Felix Tivane, 40, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital. A third victim managed to escape the incident with injuries.

Police officials confirmed that following the incident, Sebogo was successfully traced and apprehended.

The motive for the violent attack remains unclear at this time. Authorities have stated that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
