
Police in Rust de Winter, operating under the Waterberg District, have arrested two suspects aged 39 and 54 in connection with the possession of suspected stolen property and breaking implements.
The arrests were made on Wednesday evening, 11 March 2026, at approximately 20:00. According to authorities, officers were conducting routine patrols when they received information regarding individuals allegedly tampering with a transformer on a street in Rust de Winter.
Members of the police responded swiftly to the scene. Upon arrival, the two suspects were located and taken into custody. A subsequent search revealed that the men were in possession of property suspected to be stolen, as well as implements believed to have been used in the commission of the crime.
The suspects are scheduled to make their first court appearance at the Bela Bela Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 13 March 2026. They face charges of possession of suspected stolen property and possession of breaking implements.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
