Police are searching for an unknown number of armed suspects after a fatal house robbery in Mantjana Ga-Thoka village on Saturday, 13 December 2025.
According to the police report, two masked men entered a one-room house where a 38-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter were sleeping. The woman’s brother, sleeping in another house on the property, had knocked, stating he needed to retrieve an item.
When the door was opened, the suspects demanded cellphones and money. After being told there was no money, they stabbed both the woman and her brother with a sharp object. The suspects took cellphones and fled.
The victims went to neighbors for help and were taken to a nearby hospital. The 38-year-old woman was declared dead on arrival. Her brother survived.
The motive is unknown. An investigation is ongoing.
