The Makuya Police are investigating a disturbing case of rape following a pregnancy discovery involving a 14-year-old disabled girl.
According to police reports, the incident came to light on the morning of Saturday, 22 November 2025. The victim’s mother, while at home with her daughter, noticed the girl’s stomach was growing and questioned her about a possible pregnancy. The victim denied being pregnant.
The following day, Sunday, 23 November 2025, at approximately 06:00, the mother entered her daughter’s room and again asked if she was pregnant. It was then that the victim disclosed that her cousin had allegedly entered her room on multiple occasions and had non-consensual sexual intercourse with her. The assaults are reported to have occurred between 26 June 2025 and 15 September 2025.
Following the disclosure, the victim was taken to the nearest clinic for a medical examination. Healthcare professionals confirmed that the teenager is pregnant.
The police were subsequently notified, and a formal case of rape was opened.
As of now, no arrest has been made. Authorities confirmed that because both the suspect and the victim are minors, the matter will be referred to a probation officer for further directive.
