A 33-year-old man was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition early Monday morning.
Members of Operation Lockdown III conducted the arrest at 03:20 on 12 January 2026 at a premises in Fairview Court, The Range.
Officers, who were busy with crime prevention duties, acted on information about a person with a firearm at the location. The suspect was found in possession of a .38 Special revolver and ammunition.
He is currently detained at Elsies River SAPS and will appear in the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court once charged.
