On Saturday morning at approximately 10h23, our Centurion crew responded to a dog attack incident on a smallholding in Knoppieslaagte, Centurion. A man in his twenties sustained multiple serious injuries after being attacked by four dogs.
The exact circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear. The victim, a freelance worker, was reportedly performing tasks on the property when the dogs attacked him.
Emergency responders stabilised the patient on scene, after which he was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
We extend our sincere thanks to Olievenhoutbosch CPF, MonitorNet, Netcare 911, and all other assisting parties for their swift response and support at the scene.
Safety Tip:
Dog attacks can often be prevented. If you have dogs on your property and external workers or visitors are expected, ensure the animals are securely separated and supervised, especially if they are unfamiliar with the individuals entering. Clear communication with visitors before they access your premises can also help prevent misunderstandings and potential incidents.
