Four suspects were arrested for kidnapping and robbery on Tuesday, 18 March 2026, following a swift police response.
According to reports, a 42-year-old man from Malamulele was driving along the R101 near the intersection of Nirvana and Lawton Road, en route to Pretoria, when he was allegedly forced to stop by two vehicles.
The suspects approached the complainant, falsely claiming to be taxi patrollers. They then searched him and robbed him of R3,000 and his motor vehicle keys. The complainant was forced into the back of one of the vehicles and threatened with assault.
Police responded promptly to the incident, rescuing the complainant and arresting all four suspects at the scene.
