Delft police detain suspects for possession of drugs

WESTERN CAPE – Members of the Delft Crime Combatting Unit were conducting disruptive operations on Saturday evening in Voorbrug, Delft, to combat gang violence in the area when they searched a premises in Blompot Street, and upon searching the premises they found 50 rounds of ammunition, one plastic bag containing crystal meth, three small plastic packets containing cocaine, eight mandrax tablets and a undisclosed amount of cash. They arrested an adult male for dealing in drugs.

In an unrelated matter, members of Delft Crime Prevention Unit, searched a premises in Eindhoven, where they confiscated 39 mandrax tablets which were found in the house. A 26-year-old female was arrested for dealing in drugs.

The suspects will appear in the Bellville Magistrates’ court on Monday, respectively….
