Members of the Anti-Gang Unit successfully confiscated an unlicensed firearm, ammunition, and drugs during a search warrant execution on Saturday, resulting in the arrest of an adult male.
The operation took place on March 21, 2026, at a premises in Rusthof, Strand. Following a thorough search, authorities seized a Stoeger Coeger 800F pistol, eight 9mm rounds of ammunition, and 21 packets of tik.
The suspect was arrested on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of ammunition, and possession of drugs. He is scheduled to appear in the Strand Magistrate Court on Monday, March 23, 2026.
