A 56-year-old male educator appeared before the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, facing a charge of rape.
The accused is alleged to have raped an 18-year-old learner at one of the secondary schools within the Mahwelereng policing area.
During the court proceedings, the matter was postponed to Wednesday, 25 March 2026, to allow for further investigation by the South African Police Service. The suspect was remanded in custody and will remain behind bars until his next court appearance.
