Police in Bothitong have arrested a 22-year-old man from Dithakong Village near Kuruman in connection with the brutal murder of two women on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
According to police reports, authorities were alerted to the incident, which occurred at approximately 12:00 on the same day. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered two victims lying in a pool of blood with open wounds to their heads and faces.
A 61-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene. The second victim, a 92-year-old elderly female, was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to the injuries she sustained during the attack.
The suspect was promptly apprehended and has since been charged with two counts of murder. He is expected to appear in court soon.
