Police Arrest Farm Lodge Employee for Possession of Suspected Stolen Property

Authorities in the Waterberg District have arrested a 37-year-old male employee of a local farm lodge following an incident on Saturday morning.

According to police reports, the arrest occurred at approximately 08:10 on 07 March 2026 at the premises of the farm lodge. Police responded to a call from the location and upon arrival, were met by a security officer who had detained a suspect.

It is alleged that the security officer caught the suspect, who is also employed at the lodge, attempting to exit the property through a restricted point without authorization. The individual was found in possession of what police believe to be stolen goods.

Officers confiscated several items from the suspect at the scene. The recovered property includes an alternator, copper pipes, a refrigerator compressor, and electronic cables.

The suspect is currently in police custody and is scheduled to make his first court appearance at the Modimolle Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 09 March 2026.

Police have confirmed that investigations into the matter are continuing.
