A 48-year-old foreign national male was arrested on 5 February 2026 at approximately 13:00 for the possession of Mandrax tablets. Police confirmed that the suspect is also linked to a separate case involving rape, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), and kidnapping.
According to the investigating officer, the additional charges stem from alleged incidents that took place between 25 January 2026 and 4 March 2026.
The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear before a local magistrate soon. Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
