33-year-old man is scheduled to appear in the Postmasburg Magistrate’s Court following his arrest for the alleged murder of another 33-year-old man on Wednesday evening.
According to the police investigation, the incident occurred on 4 March 2026. At approximately 19:35, community members observed the suspect fleeing the victim’s residence, which aroused their suspicion.
Upon entering the home, the community members discovered the victim lying in a pool of blood beneath a bed. They immediately alerted the authorities.
Emergency services responded to the scene; however, the victim was certified deceased by medical personnel. The suspect was apprehended by police shortly after the discovery.
The accused is expected to face a formal charge of murder during his court appearance. Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
