
A thorough investigation by Keiskammahoek detectives has led to the arrest of two suspects, the confiscation of a firearm, and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
The investigation began on March 15, 2026, when the lifeless body of an unknown African male was found dumped at Sandile Dam with a gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives traced evidence to a yard belonging to a family member of one suspect, where they recovered a stripped vehicle belonging to the deceased’s mother. The suspect was later arrested in Clubview, Qonce.
A subsequent investigation led detectives to Mngqesha Location, where a firearm was recovered and a second suspect was immediately arrested.
Both suspects have been charged with murder. One suspect faces an additional charge of theft of motor vehicle, while the other faces an additional charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm.
